Default $109 QQ- why am I soooo lost?

Doublestack on PS, 3K starting stacks. No real reads on villain with the exception of his OPR stats, which show he's a decent winning player in about 500 tournies. I've played fairly tight in the opening hands.

Blinds 15/30. I have 3050, villain has 2890. I raise in MP1 to 100 with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Villain on the button reraises to 270, folds to me and I call.

Flop (585):

8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, villain bets 330, I c/r to 900. He thinks 5-10 seconds and reraises 1190 to 2090, leaving 530 behind. I have 1880 left and...

Lower buyins I usually reraise and am fine with getting it in preflop or on the flop. Am I giving my opponent too much credit? Thanks in advance.

As you said, it's a close call in the $109 because players are a bit more nitty. In the lower stakes this is a push all day.

I probably bet out the flop, but you would end up in the same place is this hand. As played I probably push and lose to 88 99 66 kk aa.

The pot is paying you enough to push here imo, but I wouldn't be surprised if you were beat either. Too bad you don't have a better read.

You're likely up against a range of something like:

{AdKd, JJ+, 88-99} at the tightest so you're 34%+

You're calling 1720 into a pot of 4105

I don't think i like check raising this flop unless i want to get it in.

Considering pre flop action and that he's tiny 3 betting you at a point without antes, i think i want to check/call flop. Is that wrong?

I either lead/fold this flop or check/call this flop. I think c/r is bad. As played I probably get it in as it's a draw heavy board.

You can't c/r if you aren't going to get it in on this flop.

I thought about leading, but doesn't that look exactly like what I have, an overpair wondering if he's up against an overpair? I suppose if you mix this strategy in with sets as well, it can work...

Check/call does seem to make the most sense. I assume we ch/fold to a second decent-sized bullet the turn on any card but a queen?
