Will I have time? with the luggage... or i need to wait till 22

Chances are you will have to wait for the 22:00 ferry.

Once you arrive at HKIA, you will need to:

1. claim your luggage

2. take your luggage over to the TurboJet Sea Express Macau ferry transfer desk and check in for your ferry

3. take the shuttle bus over to the sky pier, where you will board your ferry

You will need to allow at least 90 minutes at HKIA to transfer from your plane to the ferry.

Based on others posts I would guess not. I get in at 17:55 and would love to catch the same one myself.

I think everyone should post when they are getting in.

Here is my arriving flight getting in Wed evening HKG time:

United 0895
Depart: ORD 12:16 PM
Arrive: HKG 05:55 PM
Next day
Nov 21 Non-stop

UA 895 from Chicago (17:55): "scottc25", "kirbrand"

UA 869 from San Francisco (18:45): Travis Rice, Alan "TheUsher", Oliver Tse "olivert"

UA 867 from Los Angeles (19:40): Mike O'Malley "Rzitup"

I expect at least 10 people meeting up at Sky Pier for the 10pm ferry to Macau.

I'm taking the airasia flight from bangkok flying directly into Macau...not sure what day I'll be heading over there yet, but it's pretty sweet to not have to take the ferry from HK.

Thai Air only flies into HK.

airasia for mi too 21nov in the morning 1005 arriving 1350.

It's much easier flying to Macau airport and it's only 10 minutes away from the Grand Waldo.

Safe trip to everyone.

Hey I got some bad news, had some things come up and its going to be impossible for me to come down to Macau. Not happy about it because I really was looking forward to this trip. I emailed stars about my issues and they are going to set aside the $2500 buyin and the $600 for the hotel as credit for entering any other APPT event. So looks like I won't be playing any of these events until the next season. Unless I stumble upon the other $3000 or whatever I would need for the Sydney APPT tournament.

Does anyone know the expected turn out at Macau or how many players have earned seats through PS?

106 have qualified via Stars as of now. It's been said in this thread a couple times that 250 is the expected turnout.

Sound about right to me. Never know about a walk up crowd. I'm not guessing much though.

Hi, this is first time I go to an offline tourney through satellites.

I have a question about the opening party on Nov 22. Is it only for the Stars qualifiers or for all players? As a qualifier will there be a big problem if I can not attend it due to flight schedule? Also how the qualifiers register to the event? I know Stars already has my name and address but not sure how I should proceed.
