Buying into Events with $W

I thought you could buy-in directly to preliminary WSOP events with $W on Stars?

I found the page describing the process, but it is only for televised events, and the list is from 2006. When are the possible events going to be listed? It's less than 2 months away now.

As a guess, I'd say that 'Stars is going to be even less willing to let people use W$ to buy into preliminary events this year, than last. As discussed in another thread, Full Tilt is just handing their qualifiers cash in their accounts, and hoping that they will go on to buy their way in on their own.

Not sure that 'Stars will go this same route (I hope not). Even if they do though, I think it unlikely that they'll be willing to endure the additional hassles involved in buying players into preliminary events as well. It's a shame, but I think that's the situation as it stands now. Just hang on to those W$ and use them in the WCOOP, I guess.
