i don't think there was any intent to intimidate or belittle blacks outright with this stuff, but it probably does show the ass of some of the ingrained racism of the person(s) responsible. at the very least it was pretty stupid on their part not to anticipate this response when you have something strung up from a tree in your front yard at a 'hood party' advertised on facebook. gg sig chi.

if white people want to do it in the privacy of their own homes it's fine with me, i'd think it was in somewhat poor taste but whatever. doing it in a university frat house and advertising it to everyone was the really stupid thing, and the pirate was the icing on the cake.
