Actors who you couldn't picture as a bad guy/good guy

Dennis Hopper is a good bad guy.

I had a hard time seeing Willem Defoe as a good guy, but it comes and goes. He's just too good an actor all around not to be able to pull off whatever he wants to.

I had a problem seeing Greg Kinnear as someone with a notable dark side, but Autofocus changed my mind.

Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet crossed a line I didn't think he could cross.

1980's Bill Murray I'd agree with you.. but with his latest strings of dramas and offbeat comedies, I could envision him being in some sort of bad-guy role.

I have some comments on a few of the responses.

William H. Macy: It was stated that he can't play a bad guy. The first thing I thought of was Fargo, and I guess it's not really a "bad guy" role, but not all "bad guys" are created equal.

Michael Keaton: Pacific Heights. Can't play a bad guy? I think he can.

Not every bad guy looks or acts like Danny Trejo.

Michael Keaton was a bad guy in some movie where he played a convicted serial killer whose kidney was a match for some cop's dying kid, and then he escaped during the surgery. Title totally escapes me though.

Bill Murray played a great bad guy in one movie, but it wasn't revealed until the very, very end, so I'll spoiler box it:

The movie was Desperate Measures. Michael Keaton did a better job in that role than in most of his "good guy" parts. Also, Keaton played Beetlejuice, who was the villain. It may be a comedy, but whatever.
