[ QUOTE ]

I like shooting landscapes (my "people" shots always turn out lousy) while on vacation, and I feel better when a picture comes out "right" where I don't feel compelled to touch it up. If I get a good sunset, but it looks better when I increase the foreground lighting, I feel like I cheated somehow.

[/ QUOTE ]

I could not agree more. Anyone can make a good picture, but it's much harder to take a good picture.

probably the same reason why people prefer "organic" and "all-natural" food products.

p,

Don't think that has much of a similarity at all. People like those things because they think they taste better or are healthier.

I probably couldn't tell teh difference b/w a photoshopped pic and some pic that has been altered by some "natural" visual effect. Maybe I could, but I surely have not ever taken the time to make the distinction.

I can definitely appreciate the time and effort it takes to do something w/o the digital hoopla, but in that same vein it is pretty effing sweet what we can do with technology nowadays.
