So do you have his name, or just his email?
Is the IP address from which this rogue observer closely related to Absolute's IP address? e.g. could we figure out whether he was observing from Absolute Poker's offices/IP, or simply from elsewhere in Costa Rica?

[/ QUOTE ]
Just his email.

This is the ISP of the IP address: https://www.racsa.co.cr/index.html

It is coming from a San Jose location, so it isn't elsewhere in Costa Rica.

Does anyone have some Costa Rican AP IPs?

[/ QUOTE ]

Can't u somehow figure this out just by looking at the headers from an email from support@absolute or something? u can't see the IP of the email sender?

[/ QUOTE ]

That's one way although it's possible their support is elsewhere. The other is to find AP domains and running a whois. Also the spammer IP's might work.

Sorry I was sucking, I thought it was two people, same IP, one table, not two tables.

I'm with the program now

This whole thing is just nuts.

Re: finding domains and running a whois... Wouldn't they mask these precisely so people couldn't do that?

That depends on who is involved and how smart they are. The way they played and the way AP handled it I think they have proven they are not too bright.

not to rain on any parades, but even with more damning proof of what everyone already knew, its not going to change anything at all. Absolute has already "investigated" and given their response, they arent going to recant it now, because they knew it was true when the released their first lie.

no one gets refunded, absolute never admits to anything, they continue on as normal.

I got the IP from Nat and it appears to be from a cable modem connection in CR. I don't know if he wants me to post the details, but it is a netblock controlled by "Amnet Television" in San Jose, CR.

I saw this info. Looks like a promising lead.

Also, the IP traceroutes back to https://www.racsa.co.cr/index.html, which means somehow Amnet and this company are connected or are business partners in some way. Maybe Amnet gets their internet from racsa.
