I'd rather c/f than bet river. He's not gonna bluff a missed draw or ace high and he's probably not gonna bet with 99. I like flop and turn though against this specific villain.

i think i lose value if i only check. i thought he would call this small bet with many worse hands.

I think river bet is spew. Villain is calling any king he's playing plus maybe QJ/AQ (loose players often have trouble laying those down, particularly AQ), and with two high cards on the board I don't think 99+ is sticking around on the turn without improving
