I would also lead the river here. This is a pretty standard play with AK at this level. It looks a lot like a CB bet that missed and now he wants to pick it up on the river. As played I think you definitely need to raise the river here unless you have a read that would indicate something's up with his turn check.

Yea, the check on the turn when that non-scare card hit makes it clearly obvious that he is almost always giving up in this spot, he will only attempt to bet again if you check the river. I like leading the river here about 75% of the time, you must switch up your play but I am not sure if a river bet would be called here because it seems like he has high card. The check and reraise is a solid play and he will fold to this but you gave him a chance to bet off more money when he most likely would have folded to a bet. Again, it helps if you know this players tendendcies, if this was Jamie Gold I would check here everytime cuz he always played the turn weak and bluffed out the river like a donk.
