win rate for plo
i saw cmyr say something about 10bb/100. i know that would be a pretty sick average for nlh but is that pretty average for winning plo players?

Re: win rate for plo
unfortunately.....no.
i have no idea about win rates for plo. i havent the slightest idea if plo is more profitable than nlh.......on average. i was a live player for years. online poker and stats and what not are fairly new to me. i tried to look up win rates on google but didnt find anything specific. i have this strange feeling i'm going to get crucified. |

Re: win rate for plo
There have been winrate discussions the past. The better players here will far exceed 10bb/100. at low levels even nut peddling can exceed 10bb/100

Re: win rate for plo
i would probably start the bidding at 100k hands - Pete posed a useful standard deviation chart for this kind of thing a couple of weeks ago, but i would imagine this would be a decent enough sample to gague

Re: win rate for plo
i don't think i've ever said anything about 10bb/100 as realistic for anything I play, except maybe single table hu. I would be very very happy if I were to learn that my expectation was 7-8bb/100, and I think realistically it's somewhere between 5-8. At low stakes 10bb/100 becomes realistic but still very impressive.

Re: win rate for plo
its important to differenciate between BB/100 and ptbb/100 - as i understand it PTO BB = Big bets not Big blinds, so 5ptbb = 10bb

[/ QUOTE ] no, you didnt. you used 10bb/100 as an example but i wasnt sure if you were suggesting it as reality either........thats why i asked about win rates in this thread. my thinking was if plo is more profitable than nlh, then why play nlh? but now i see that the two have similar win rates so i'll dabble in both. personally, i find plo more easy and less stressful than nlh. thanks everyone for the info. |
