Default Last hand a Mistake?

First of all, thanks to all who've responded and encouraged me this evening. I think I did alright. 8th out of 321, not that it means anything as it's winner take all.

So, did I screw up had I lost all my chip on? Few hands into the final table, no real reads. The big stacks are aggressive, actually everyone seems to be somewhat agro, but that's due to size of the blinds i suppose.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t2000 (8 handed) converter

SB (t68311)
BB (t39137)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Edit: BTW, gonna try my hand at a live $160 Double Shoot-out at Turning Stone tomorrow night. Max 100 players, FT pays, 1st gets WSOP package.

4x ia a bit much. my standard raise at this point is 2.5x (5k). also i dont think you have to call that push.

So raise to 5K and fold to the push? That's what I was thinking, after the hand of course. Got lots more to learn.

Thanks.

Exit, I want to clarify. I agree a fold can be done, but this is winner take all. That stack is similar to yours. Those chips put you in the game. Depending on how the BB is playing, he could be doing this with anything.

I would probably relunctantly call this, unless the read is tight or something close. I need chips to win this thing, and this has potential. Is this thinking way way way off base and a major leak?

OP specified that this is only a few hands into FT and he has no reads.

Having said that - Open-raise is "meh" IMO - position too early, too expensive and we can't call a raise since we have no idea who is raising. I need some reads before I can try pulling moves like these.

this is easy to zettle, put him on a range of hands that he does this with, and see where we stand. Don't think we're getting nearly good enough odds, despite having artificially juicecd them w/ our 4x raise. Also our 4x raise probably narrows his restealing range some.

Your badly beat by most reraises. AK, AQ, AA, KK, QQ and slightly behind AJ, any underpair. Unless you have a strong read I think it's an easy laydown.

I also like to bet about 3x at this stage. Blinds are big enough for 3x to do the job.

i do 4bb here if im on button and im open raising, it give the impression that the blinds have much less FE than they really do.

that being said, 3bb is fine and fold to that push unless you have a read that hes ridiculously lag from the bb.

I would've raised to 6k and folded. Even as played, as it looks like you need to fold.
