Hi pho,

This post seems like a joke, but in case it's not, Ray Zee's book is excellent, if a little vague. It truly is written for advanced players, so it may take some experience for you to really understand some of the concepts he addresses only briefly.

The O8 section in Super System 2 is great, especially for shorthanded play.

All other books on O8 that I've read or browsed (probably everything published widely) will either hurt your game or do nothing for you; they are that bad.

thanks ill read that. accually no joke. i just find myself highly profitable at .5/1 limit o8 and possibley want to specialize. i figure makin as much at this limit with such little variance and such little theoretical knowledge i bet i can progress very fast. i do however feel like my fast limit hold reading has help especially when drawing. which i have learned is what ohmaha is all about. well i think atleast. maybe ill post some hands and see what you regulars think

The Tenner and Krieger book helped tighten up some early leaks after reading the SS 2 section as an intro. It's hard to discount that book, especially for beginners.

I also recommend www.o8poker.com. Greg's site has a lot of solid advice, especially on bankroll management. He also has reviews on virtually all the o8 books out there.

There's a good book by Kou Krieger out there; I found that that book helped clarify alot of foggy points for me. Also Bill Boston has a good book out where he discusses some concepts briefly and to the point and he includes an Excel like graph at the end that details each hand and it's overall win/scoop/etc expectations. Rolf has a huge book coming out this month too that will def help out.
