Default AA - not a scary board but facing a Mini raise

I know villian is fairly tight and not very agressive and yet is mini rasing me here which is a strange raise on a non drawy board. What should I do on the flop?

He has a set ( most likely QQ ) and he is building the pot so you are drawing to 2 outs, max to 4.
Fold.

Easy fold IMO. If you say he's tight and aggressive, it's an incredibly easy fold.

You're drawing to 2 aces (probably more like 1, maybe even dead) as I'm sure he's got QQ as well or 66 (even then..only 4 outs max).

The minraise is used to entice you to call, 'oh, it's not that much more and I've got a few outs and he has no draws so he must not have much', and then before you know it he's stacking you.

Yeah, this is a set ~90% of the time and top set about 80% of the time. You need to be getting 21.5:1 to call for implied odds if an ace falls so if you call and only stick around if you hit, it's a pretty neutral EV call. I'd probably stick around out of stubbornness and then fold the turn, but folding the flop is probably about $0.10 better from an EV standpoint.

if you folded against the minraise, i'd play it the same.

If you min-raised often, players will realize you are doing it with air

agreed.

you cant fold now. you have to at least call because your priced in. i been in these spots before and then they check the turn because they have ace queen with a gutshot or some crap and they are trying to play with your mind on the flop and chicken out on the turn.

sure, most of the time, you are behind but folding for 6 bucks is a mistake.

i hate theses sort of players, they are always donators as they dont play enough hands and play them 2 passivly, yet they bleed money so slowly into the game its like a death by 1000 cuts. i would probably call the flop hoping to catch an ace, but im not really looking to get too involved in this spot
