Re: profiling opponents using PAH (tl, dr)

[ QUOTE ] Does anybody know what 'cold call %' mean? UTG raises, CO 3bets and BUTTON calls - is this a cold call? [/ QUOTE ] Any other cold call except a pre flop raise? Is that what the difference is between the two? [/ QUOTE ] Well I went through the PAHud and PT forums and it seems like there are problems with both of these stats. Both use total hands as the denominator, not hands in which you are facing a raise. There are obvious problems with this implementation. Cold Call does not include the blinds. It only includes pots where you have no money in to start with, and then call a raise. Call Preflop Raise includes the blinds, and hands where you limp/call, if you are into that sort of thing. |

Re: profiling opponents using PAH (tl, dr)
This post is all kinds of awesome, thanks. I've completely tweaked my PAD stats based on this. I had always wanted to but didn't really know what to include or why I would be including it.
I'll definitely be reading this post a few more times in the near future to absorb it all. |

Makes it a lot easier to play the hand. Also when it's very high it makes it easier to doublebarrel as they will often call the flop with their 86s catching midpair. |

Re: profiling opponents using PAH (tl, dr)
This is the best uNL post I've ever read.
In addition to discussion above, I think Cold Call stat is very important, and one I pay attention to a lot, when playing against regs/TAGs. If a TAG whose CC stat is under like 1-2%, cold calls your PFR (need thousands hands, as stated), you can save a lot of money on flops. For example, someone plays 20/18, I open AK CO they CC from BTN, I cbet A73 flop, they raise, I'm folding here a lot depending on what their CC% is. If it's like 11/1100 (1%), this is a set like always IME. If it's like 10%, well, then I'm 3betting. This works well against TAGs, probably because I normally don't have thousands of hands on fish/droolers, and you really need at least 1K hands to make this anywhere near accurate. |
