Default 10-25 NL live

Effective stacks: $6,000
Villain loves to see flops and makes some very loose calls. Last session I played a $14,000 pot with him when I 3 bet 99 from my $100 button straddle, flop K95 two hearts he open pushes for $7,000 with A2h.
The game plays a bit higher than 10-25 due to straddles, but people tend to be passive.

7 handed, button straddles to $100, 3 callers to me in the cutoff with two red queens. I make it $500(too small?) All fold, villain calls.
Flop:953 two spades
check, I bet $900, call (he could be peeling here with pretty much anything A2, 56 etc)
Turn:Qs
check, I bet $1500, villain quickly pushes all in

Easiest call ever? How bad did I mess up the rest of the hand?

I must be missing something because the turn bet seems really bad to me.

nah, if we're snap calling the turn anyways, i like the small turn bet as the guy could easily semibluff/valueshove a ton of hands we want him to.

I actually missed that it was a small bet.

I agree in the circumstances a bluff-inducing bet is the best type of bet to make, but it seems to me the standard play here is just to check behind the turn.

I mean he could have, you know, a flush.

Am I wrong?

I think a good argument can be made for checking here, but against this guy I think I play the same. You should never fold after betting the turn IMO. The only reason to make a 1/2 pot bet on the turn is to induce a bluff/semibluff shove from villian.
