DonkSquared
Live game. 3 limpers and I complete A5o in the SB, BB checks.
Flop is AJ8r. I bet, BB raises in tempo, folds to the button who coldcalls, I call. I'm friendly with the BB, he beats the game easily, is probably very slightly too passive for this game, and he has a pretty good sense of my range to bet the flop into 4 people. He would raise AJ/JJ preflop but I doubt 88. Button could have any part of the board down to backdoor suited cards but a gutshot of some sort seems likely. Turn is a 6 which puts 2 hearts on the board. I bet, he raises again in tempo, button folds and I release. |

Re: DonkSquared
I think you can probably check/fold the turn, but this is fine too.

Re: DonkSquared
i like checking the flop here and seeing what develops... given your description of your opp i don't see how you can call the flop raise...

Re: DonkSquared
i honestly didn't think of QT in his range.. if it is you could probably put T9 in there also... which i don't mind calling and donk/folding the turn... i thought you meant you could rule out him raising a draw here as it would be pretty strange, seeing as how he's on the passive side and he could let a lot of others come in behind him... i suppose you can't totally rule it out though..
even without that you are getting 9-1 so i guess you can call the flop.. |

[/ QUOTE ] Ok if you include QT in his range why wouldn't you include T9 in his range also? I would just check fold the turn, I don't really see how the big blind would have anything you beat. Usually leading out from the small blind into a big field in an unraised pot is a sign of a huge hand and he was still raising you. This looks like any two pair hand at least and you are drawing dead to all of them except for one. |
