All this talk about playing over my roll king of bums me out, I really had no idea I was going so wrong haha. What would be the best way to put 50 onto full tilt and build a legitmate bankroll to play .25/.50?

Just play whatever limit you can afford 20-25 buyins for. If you really only have $50, then you can get by with a little less and play the mega-micros only (.02/.05 at the most). Buy in for $3 at a time or so.

$50 isn't nearly enough to be properly rolled for .05/.10, although you could run hot and survive. Forget .25/.50 - I mean that's 1 buy in. Even if you were an amazing player with an astounding winrate, your risk of ruin would be enormous (especially with the variance at those limits).

I'd usually say get PokerTracker and PA HUD, but if money's that tight then you should probably start as small as you can. Being 18 you have plenty of time to improve, read up, get a better paying job to help start a bankroll, etc. Just play as much as you can as cheap as you can, and read up.

PS - they have the very low limits at PokerStars.

wrong. Personally Nl 4 is basically will hurt your poker game. I cannot stand playing anything else less than NL 100. $50 is good enough for NL 100. $150 is good for NL 200. $800 is good for NL 400. This is my method.

OP, just so you know, this is awful advice. I guess he figures you're somehow supposed to get his little "joke" or something.

Right, I remember now. You're the guy who's been playing a couple months and claims to be a pro now. In any case, your BR advice is still rediculously bad.

OP - Funny (I guess) but let's get this straight. Based on a 20 buy-in bankroll management strategy you should have:

$100 to play .02-.05 (5NL)
$200 to play .05-.10 (10NL)
$500 to play .10-.25 (25NL)

This assumes that you are buying in for the max (100 BB's). Also, I think 20 buy-ins is probably as low as you'll find recommended around here. Some employ a 30 buy-in minimum and others even more.
