It's not about D'Antonio "letting" people. It's about poor bench management on his part. I agree with you that the Suns have a decent bench. D'Antonio doesn't let them play, at all. He could probably have a really solid 9-10 man rotation of Amare, Nash, Marion, Bell, Thomas, Barbosa, Diaw, Jones, Jalen Rose, and possibly Banks. Instead he goes with 7 or 8 man rotation, with 6 guys getting >32 mins and Thomas and Jones getting <20 a game.
He's not holding out that bench for the playoffs. It goes the other way around (like SA is currently doing). You balance PT during the season then bust out the big minutes in the playoffs.
