Any Interest in Duplicate Scrabble?

Sorry, I wanted to make sure we had more than a couple players before I started a game thread. I can get a game going tonight, I'll start one.

Bravos, as for your question, the play put on the board by the computer is irrelevant to scoring. It doesn't matter what the computer gets... obviously you can never beat the computer, you can only tie it. You are playing against the other people. Assuming your move is valid, you will get points every round.

im still in. It does sound like a lot of the strategy in the game is lost, because you are looking for the highest scoring play and not necessarily the best one.

u don't have to worry about blocking people from getting trip words, etc, so yes, some is taken away

but that's always true in duplicate games; duplicate bridge/spades/etc gets rid of the score strategy but assures even cards; duplicate scrabble gets rid of score/tiles left/power squares/etc strategy but assures even tiles/opportunities

I have all the screenshots for the game, but it is taking an eternity to upload to photobucket. I don't know what's taking it so long. If they finish uploading soon then I'll start a game thread, but if not then we'll play tomorrow.
