Default an Asian poker boom to bring bk softer games?

Hi

Ive been lurking alot but was thinking I may as well post this thought.

Everyone says that games nowadays are alot tougher than games of years gone past (for whatever reasons I wont go in to).

However, does anyone think that if/when poker becomes big in asia (as tournaments etc are now beginning to start up over there e.g. Macau this month), it will bring alot of players online which will make the games softer again?

Seeing as alot of asians are considered to have gambling in their blood, i cannot see how they wouldnt take to poker, if exposed.

I personally hope it does take off over there and we soon start seeing alot more players from that region on the tables.

If poker is already big over there, then my bad.

This is all true. In fact, Poker Stars already has beta software running that includes several new features:

The New Setup button
The "Make big scramble" button
The "Throw cards at dealer" button
The "auto cap flop and turn button." They are working on a feature to allow you to press this button then automatically fold on the river if you missed. Furthermore, if you type "AYA!!!", that phrase will have it's own audio.
Seat changes will be available
And, you can order Boba Tea that will show up on an end table next to your virtual chair.

They are going to test this software in Los Angeles, promoting it heavily at the LAPC in Feburary, before releasing it in Asia.

Although in many asian countries, most folks are poor and a big buy in at a 200NL table might be worth a months wages.

BUt the rich ones are DAMn rich. Hopefully poker can win some of the Bacarrat market :-)

I believe the new beta also has more '8's in the deck.
