Default 5$ QQ on the Button and limp/reraise from UTG

Hi,

Last evening i played my regular 5$ MTT and faced with the following questionable situation. 3 persons took part in this hand including me. Unfortunately, I don't remember all the stacks.

10 players at the table
Blinds 300/600, ante 50

UTG (~t12000)
Hero[button] (~10000) with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB (~t10000)

Preflop: UTG calls 600, 6 fold, Hero raises 2000, SB calls 2000, BB folds, UTG raises 11350 (all-in), Hero?

I'm not afraid of SB's call at all. The only think that came into my had, that UTG was typically slowplaying monster preflop and should have KK-AA in this case (but i never saw him doing this before). Will you ever call here?

A bit later, after your comments, i will write what happened.

Here I think you must fold. Typical limp with AA first out. I have seen it so many times.

Don't ever fold QQ in a $5 tournament preflop - by doing this you will always have a +EV with this hand.

Even at the higher buy-ins I need much more evidence to fold preflop and wouldn't do it against an UTG limp-push, cause people do this with a lot of hands.

you should be raising slightly more preflop, something like t2300 - t2400. As played (or even if you did raise more), this is a snap-call, possible fist-pump.

Raise more. Usually 3xBB + 1 for every limper .. that would be in the 2400 range.

As played I call this all day long. Sure, I've run into AA/KK my fair share here, but I've also seen AJ+,88+ and some other goofy hands where someone tried to make a play as seen on TV without thinking about stacksizes. After all this is a $5 MTT, so villain can have any 2.

It costs you 8000 to win ~14000. NEVER fold QQ PF with those odds.

Now i got confirmation that i made a huge mistake having folded my queens...Villian was very kind to me and showed his 99.

Thanks.
