you love getting people to fold when you are a favourite? Id rather have gabe reraise than fold if i had 56s there

[/ QUOTE ]
Umm, this is so wrong.

If someone is behind but getting the pots odds to draw out, it's higher EV to make them fold...

David, here is an interesting question for you:

Hypothetical - I select 9 of the best internet players and Kenny Tran selects 8 of the best live players (and includes himself).

These 18 players are randomly paired into:
a) 3 groups of 6
b) 2 groups of 9

They play 100k hands of 6 handed NLHE and 100k hands of 9 handed NLHE with the pairings being switched randomly every 10 hands.

Do the internet players do better?
Do the live players do better?

[/ QUOTE ]

Obv he will say it depends if they play live or online.... but i think i see where ur going with this

[/ QUOTE ]

Obviouslly it is online since noone would survive 100000 hands live.

These 18 players are randomly paired into:
a) 3 groups of 6
Everyone plays 6max for 3 days, the setup of players switches randomly every 2 hours (mix of online/live)

b) 2 groups of 9
Everyone plays 9max for 3 days, the setup and seating of players switches randomly every 2 hours (mix of online/live)

They play for 2 weeks. 1 week live, 1 week online, each day 6 hours, with the live sessions being dealt by 2 dealers (makes for more hands dealt / they can afford it). Sunday they can do whatever they want.

Point out to me mistakes, you must

David,

can you ask him how many of these top 20 players appeared on High Stakes Poker, as the general opinion here among HSNL players was that the standard of play on the show was pretty low... of course dispensing with the parlour games and having him list the 20 would be great also!

Telling top [insert amount] poker players has terrible implied odds

I didn't read the replies (yet) but the fact that Kenny Tran is saying someone else can't lay down a hand is very, very lol.

Its a good idea but getting everyone to commit to that schedule or be available would probably be an issue. Would they have to put up money up front like tournament , otherwise it might be hard to keep everyone playing, especially if they've taken a hit. could they put up 100k? like tournament, but have same blinds and deep stacks? i just think people should be able to walk away from cash game, esp at these stakes.
