Default Leonard vs. Mayweather

How would Floyd Mayweather in his prime do against Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime? To help you answer this question check out the videos below. I'm not showing Mayweather because chances are you've just recently seen him fight.

Leonard vs. Ranzany

Leonard vs. Price

Its difficult to compare the competition each faced. However, SRL handed out some really brutal ass whippings in his career.

I don't think FM is as dominant a fighter as SRL.

Leonard.

Mayweather hasn't fought a live body since leaving 135 some 4 years ago. He has fought two live dogs in his entire career: Corrales and Castillo. He certainly talks the talk but never walks the walk.

Floyd would beat Leonard into the ground. He'd do the same to Hagler.

He'd have real problems with Hearns and Duran, though.

You don't consider Arturo Gatti "live"?

this makes no sense ahh Leonard beat Hearns decisively remember

Leonard gets the nod because he fought against the best when this weight class was so deep with talent. Also Mayweather is an arrogant ahole ,doesnt fight much and ducks the best fighters.

Gatti trains where I live and it is painful to watch the beatings he has taken in his last 2 big fights.

People love him because he's such a brawler but I hope he stops fighting now-I'd had to see him be another victim of pugilistic parkinsons.

Leonard did win by TKO. But, Hearns was winning for most of the fight and was ahead on all the judges' cards. All Hearns had to do was make it to the end of the fight without getting knocked out and he would have beaten Leonard.

What part of this question makes you think it doesn't belong in a forum titled Sporting Events?

Nobody figured Gatti stood a chance in hell except his most ardent fans.
