it's not as bad as some people are going to say it is as his calling range is pretty narrow.

hate doing it with so little equity though

i pull similar moves but try to actually have some equity for if/when i get called. also make sure you have a decent 4bet freq.

I would much rather 4 bet lighter for 3 reason.
1 I serves the same purpose which is to slow down the light 3bettor.
2 It is cheaper. In this example, you could have 4bet to 40 and gotten the same results.
3 It doesn't allow him to hit his hand that he 3bet light. Letting him see a flop is dangerous.

In this example, you even have position so if he does call your 4 bet you can see what happens on the flop.
