Default NL50: 77 vs board pair and strange river bet

At first let me say sorry than I'm posting some more hands today. I'm doing some intense session review today as the last three days just sucked big style. I appreciate all your comments and thoughts very much!

Villain is 55/5/0.36 with a river AF of 4. (For those who read the AA vs double paired board thread, it's the same one. This hand happenend first.)

I'd fold I guess. He doesn't seem like a bluffer and you have just a bluff catcher basically.

His AF of 4 on the river may be because he like to milk his good hands before the river then finally bet them. Just a thought.

Have you witnessed him bluffing the river before? If he was capable of bluffing, this is a decent card to try it on i'd say.

Getting 2:1 odds, you'd have to be good only 33% of the time, I don't think this is quite enough myself.

I'm guessing he has 8's full of 4's.

I think he was going for a c/r on the turn but you checked then he tried to make it look like a bluff by betting way too much on the river.
I'd fold here, you can't beat anything but a bluff and I don't think that's likely.

Yeah this looks like a c/r whiff on the turn and now making up for it by jamming the pot. Also raise more preflop.

I'm raising a lot PF, so I sometimes mix my PF raises up a little. That was one of this spots but in general, you're absolutely right.

Thanks for your comments here guys, you all got it pretty well. I called hoping to see a bluff, he turned A8off.
