Default Other Poker Representative for the WSOP Main Event

Some of you may have noticed the post in MTT.

Our representative for the OP forum is Tom Bayes. I was asked to nominate a strategy poster who has gone above and beyond the call of duty over a number of years. Tom Bayes was my pick.

Tom has been invited to a freeroll on Stars, which will take place Sunday, April 30th, for a main event package to the WSOP this year. The package not only includes the buy-in, but extras, as well.

Please give your support and congratulations to Tom, who will represent us as the OP achievement poster for 2+2.

Felicia was very gracious to choose me, as I can think of several posters in this forum that are more deserving and more competent in NLHE than me.

I saw the list-a lot of 2+2 NLHE tourney heavyweights are there. I'm a huge underdog and feel I'm a below average player in this group. Since I believe it's winner take all and 2nd==last place in terms of prizes, I'll probably give myself my best chance to win by playing against my tendencies and gamb00ling and taking lots of early coinflips to deal with the accumulators and re-stealers that will be playing hyper-LAG.

First, did Felicia win a seat in the moderators freeroll?

Hey, I've actually been playing more NLHE than usual over the last several days. I've had some cashes in the $3/rebuy (nothing major) and I had a good run going in the $20 NLHE at Stars last night until I had a Mike Matusow Moment and decided to represent a monster hand (AA/KK) against a guy who was actually holding said hand (AA) and busted short of the money.

In the spirit of "Other Poker", I did play and win the €3/Rebuy 2-7 Triple Draw event at B2B yesterday, so I can win a tourney.

I really think that since the event is a winner-take-all and there is a lot of very good and very aggressive NLHE tourney specialists in it, I'm going to have to play more aggressive and gamb00l it up to have any chance. I don't think solid Tom seeing 15% of the flops can win the seat.

Yes, but this was no tough feat. First of all, only 21 mods even wanted a chance. Second, I think four of those mods didn't even show up! So that left eight seats up for grabs and only 17 mods vying for them. Plus I got a few premium hands at the right time, including pocket aces with two all-in's in front of me

I agree with your assessment on strategy, and will likely do a complete 180 myself

See you on Sunday!

Good to know... hope I'm on your left!

I lurk here occasionally and think it's cool they're giving you a seat in the freeroll.
