I'm not sure if there is a name for this, but does anyone ever bet both sides of a game, ML vs. spread, with the risk of losing both? For example if you could have simultaneously gotten Boise -2.5 -105 and Fresno +130? I'm nearly certain this would be +EV. Just curious if anyone had this in their scalping reportoire.

If anyone cares, I calculated the break even point on this as 4.31% (Boise winning by exactly 1 or 2 4.31% of the time.) Looking at two of Ganchrow's tables on SBR gives two different answers for the chance of it happening: 3.09% and 4.25%, so either way it would be +EV, just probably not worth it if you trust the 2nd number. (The first comes from an old post of his and the 2nd from his 1/2 pt calculator.)

tlt - anyone who was trying to listen to your opinions is rapidly learning how much you don't know when you argue about fairly obvious stuff like this.

well, bob, i'm up by 16, so i can be generous. although, winning last night's game +145 makes me feel down right forgiving. perhaps you can educate me: how do you KNOW where the money is coming from?

i would more likely believe the "smart money" grabbed the line when they found out J. Johnson would be playing tonight, not before. but then, i don't care about smart money, anyway--mostly cuz I AM the smart money.

Seriously, I don't even know why you people are trying with this guy. It's like arguing with some guy at the cardroom that thinks it's a bad beat when his top pair loses to an OESFD and then while he's berating you says "What do you mean you were ahead, you didn't even have a pair! Who raises without a pair?".

Outside of baiting him into prop bets, I really don't see any purpose in bothering with this guy at all. Actually that's probably pointless too as I doubt he has 2K to put into escrow, let alone 20. Anyway, tlt, I'm sure you'll get people to listen to you somewhere, but this just isn't the right environment for it. You'd probably fit in better here.
