Murakami [Japan] 5-1
Pynchon 10-1 [if it goes to US, I predict him and not Roth]
Achebe 50-1
McCarthy 50-1 [doubtful, but still worthwhile. Oates at 9-1 is overbet imho]

for Peace Prize, I like Sendler as the pick, but have no strong opinion overall.

13/14 have been European lately [iirc], so I expect it not to be another like McEwan, Kundera, Eco, or similar.

I think there is serious value on Achebe at 50-1, and with that leverage, you don't need to bet much to be happy. Adonis at 14-1 prolly has some small value, he was around 4-1 4 years ago and has been dropping since.

I think there is value on Gore for Peace Prize at Pinny at +312. Betus has it at +250 and tradesports has it at almost even money. There would be a very nice arb if pinny didn't have a max of $50.

Dude, that's one book. Most of us think Pale Fire is the real masterpiece anyway. [well, both are, but Pale Fire is better.]

I mean...I thought Lolita was real good, which is why I finished it, but it left me as creeped out as that Kevin Bacon/Kyra Sedgwick movie (The Woodsman?).

The Gift, and The Defense [recently made into a Turturro film?] as well. Skip the movie and read the book though.

Pale Fire starts as a poem, and then becomes a novel in the form of 'notes' by your traditional unhinged narrator.
