Default Re: The official EPASSPORTE thread. (#3 of 3.)

In an effort to boost my loading capability from $300 to $500 or more, I added my BoA/VISA debit card to epassporte, did the verification and sent through a $100 load. It went through immediately (less the $5 fee), and I put $100 on Stars. I then got an email from BoA saying they were worried about fraudulent use of my debit card and to call them. It was ass o'clock, so I didn't at that point.
Today I get a call from them asking about the charge. I confirm that I made it. They said they block online gambling charges and epassporte is generally used for online gambling, so they blocked it. They ask if it was for online gambling, and I (foolishly) say "yeah". I then ask to confirm that they said they rejected the charge and they said they did.
Once the call is over, I go onto epassporte and BoA. Epassporte still has the $90 balance it had last night after the load and the Stars funding. BoA still shows the $100 charge (and the $1.25 verification) as pending.

Am I totally boned when BoA cancels the transaction and leaves me with a negative balance on Epass? I was perfectly able to load my account via ACH from the same BoA checking account.

I've been an ePP user since January. At first my bank transfer was denied. I then loaded with a debit card and have been able to transfer money between sites without any problems.

I was using a prepaid Mastercard to cash out (called obopay) - I'd load the prepaid MC with the ePP virtual visa. Fees were very low.

Around June the ePP virtual Visa was being denied almost everywhere I tried to use it, including obopay. I bit the bullet and bought the plastic ePP Visa for $35 on July 5th. ePP said card would be delivered in 3-5 weeks.

5 weeks have passed and still no ePP Visa. After reading about many of the CS nightmare stories, I'm not sure I'm ever going to see this card.

It's looking like checks or finding a venue where the virtual Visa will work.

Default no ePassoprte cashouts on poker.com

Poker.com currently is not allowing its (US?) customers to withdraw to their ePassoprte accounts. They claim it's a technical issue, but these problems come on the heels of their launch of new casino games. I hear ePassoprte, an American company, doesn't do business with sites that offer casino games because they need to justify their existence as providing funding options for games of skill.

Poker.com support was not able to give me a date as to when ePassporte withdrawals would resume. Any poker.com players here should email support asking them to remove their casino games, as this is the most likely cause of the ePassporte block.

So I called BoA just because I wanted to be sure I could now use my debit card. I was asked to confirm 3 recently questionable charges. Three? A computerized voice walks me through it:
Charge from Epassporte on August 12 for $1.25. If this charge is valid, press one. [boop] Charge from Epassporte on August 12 for $100. If this cha-- [boop]
what the hell's the third one?
Charge from Chick-Fil-A on August 10 for $6. [boop]
freakin' banktards

Then I go and buy lunch with my debit card and come back to another fraud alert. I had to deal with this crap on my credit card two months ago, entirely unrelated to poker, so I think it's just BoA being tards. Still, I think I'll do ACH from now on as it's a smaller fee, even if it takes a @#$#in week to get there.

i'm on day 24 since my first request for a wire transfer + sending in my verification docs, currently 5 business days into the 7-10 day verification period

yay

[/ QUOTE ]

after 12 business days they finally got back to me regarding my docuemnts... to ask for more documents

at this point i'm pretty much enraged and feel trapped and held hostage by their incompetance and repeated requests

i seriously recommend everyone here do anything they can do avoid epassporte and at the very least never keep a high balance in your account

i sent in the addition info they wanted but i fully expect it to be lost the first 2-3 times i send it, then i will be asked again to give them 2 weeks to get around to looking at it

then maybe they will ask me for a DNA sample and maybe to send them a few hair follicles

I'm glad to see there's so much interest in epassporte on this board.

I think the Visa CC they'll ship to you is the best option (withdraw $$ at ATMs with it). I just got mine today (ordered 8/4). Costs 35.00 to buy, costs 50.00 per wire transfer. Plus, you can use the CC to buy [censored].
