There is, of course, a fundamental flaw in this thread. Anyone who has problems "letting the small stuff slide" will no doubt be at least a little irritated by the OP, and will be unable to "let it slide". So, it seems to me that the OP is doing more harm than good here.

Unfortunately this way of thinking usually doesn't take hold until people are over the age of about 30.

I happen to agree with you. Most seem to want to spend $1000 to fight a $40 parking ticket.
