Default Weird turn check

I don't have much of a read on this guy, but he's been folding a lot"

I bet and get owned by K8. He could have a big draw like 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] also, but I just hate checking these turns through.

You have 2pair. Bet the turn. If he has a better hand than you he deserves more of your money. The Bottom line is this, I am never checking the turn on that board after this action with 2pair.

I actually checked through on the turn because it confused me. I don't see this line very often. Who caps the flop out of position and then checks the turn in short handed poker? The fact that he was folding a lot made me suspect fancy play since he already check-raised nobody on the flop. The board paired 2s on the river with the 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and I ended up losing to AK (I called quickly without thinking, but in retrospect it was an easy fold.)

Looks like the poker gods punished you for checking the turn. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] BTW, the Martina post is my post, I forgot that I was logged in under my girlfriends name again.
