prob is there arent a tremendous amt of Q combos in your range (i wouldnt think). qts/qjs/kq/etc i guess.

[/ QUOTE ] Are these hands really in his range here more than like 1/3-1/2 the time versus a solid TAG's UTG open? If all of those are in your range 100% of the time, then I guess it is ok.

this board is pretty [censored] for our hand.

turn really only improves 9t and floating kj. but gives a lot of 2nd best hands a reason to call a big turn bet.

If I wanted to bluff I'd bet turn and follow up on most river.

this would look like a queen with average kicked calling flop, checking turn for pot control, and trying to extract on river when villian checks last 2 streets clearly indicating he has a scared pair or nothing, however, Q10 would bet turn and fold to a raise, QJ would make sence, KQ would bet turn, i just really cant see what your repping by the river, unless your a really tricky player who gives free cards, the turn was the best spot to bet for value and then value bet on river like half pot.

tannen,

how are you not repping the hand you have (i.e. suited connector clubs)?

this is fairly simple hand reading. clubs don't bet the river because a third club didn't hit. i have air if i have clubs, so why would i bet? hand reading 101 -- it doesn't make sense to assume someone's bluffing unless you have a reason to believe it's the case. fish tend to bet the river with missed draws because they often don't realize they're repping nothing. when a thinking tag bets the river in a spot like this, it makes no sense to put him on a missed draw (unless there are levels of thinking taking place -- it's for this reason that i did actually have a missed draw this time).
