a hand el diablo played
There was a hand you played a couple of nights ago when you had a fairly large stack. You were in position and I believe the other player opened and you repopped him. Please forgive me on remembering exactly what exactly the cards were but I think I am pretty close and you will remember. The board came down ace (forsure) 10 8 (two diamonds for sure). He checked and you lead at the pot pretty close to full size and he called. The turn came the third diamonds a jack. You lead I believe full pot for 5500 and he called. The river paired the jack and he checked again. You made a pretty hefty bet I believe like 10k and he folded. My questions are not only for this hand but for others.
It seemed you represented the flush on the turn and the boat on the river. If you had a set on the turn, do you always lead that much on the turn in position when a check raise is very possible. And if you had the flush on the turn do you always make that large of bet on the river when his boat is very possible. Maybe you had a very good read on this person. I guess what Im asking is to elaborate on your thinking throughout this hand if you remember. |

Re: a hand el diablo played
To me it was one of the most interesting hands of the night I hope he remembers it and can elaborate on this hand in detail. I almost didnt post about this hand, but curiosity has got the best of me.

Re: a hand el diablo played
When you reraise preflop with deuces like El D did, you have to keep pushing on that board no matter what comes because that's the only way you can win.

Re: a hand el diablo played
This is pretty straight foward.
Diablo has either AK, a boat or a flush. |

Re: a hand el diablo played
is diablo overbetting the turn, or was there preflop action? is this 25/50 or 50/100? how much does villain have on the river?

[ QUOTE ]
This is pretty straight foward. Diablo has either AK, a boat or a flush. [/ QUOTE ] Excuse an SSNL player, but why is ElD playing AK like this? Given the rr preflop and the board surely he is never getting called on the river by AQ, AT-? |

Re: a hand el diablo played
to make AK fold, or to get called by an Ace.

Re: a hand el diablo played
stacksizes, stakes, number of players at the table and so on are all left out by the OP.
I believe the 5500 on turn was a potbet. |
