Default gooorls-Changing a no to a yes?

The other day I asked a girl out and she gave me a "I dunno..." type response. I took this as a no and told her I would talk to her later, which I didn't really plan on doing.

My friend says this is very common, and I should be able to get past this and turn the answer into a yes. He says this kind of thing happens to him a decent amount, and he usually teases them a little, makes it seem like they are hitting on him and then brings it up again.

Discuss.

If shes nothing special I just say "Too bad it woulda been fun" and walk away. But if you're really digging this girl I usually just question, "Why not?"

When she says no I say "Are you kidding? You're maybe a 6, probably more like 5.5. Who's doing the favor here?" She'll come to her senses.

Truth.

If you're really into her, I'd go the extra length.

If you don't plan on talking to her again anyway, why not push it?
