Villian just got moved to the table, and hasn't played a hand short of checking the BB. What kind of hands does he do this with AK, AQ and pairs? Maybe some completely random stone cold bluff? Do we fold? |

I'm confused, UTG folded how is he still in the hand?

Hard to say vs unknowns, but I'd fold. You're probably against a QJ, QT, KQ, AQ, etc...possibly even Ax trying to steal or another pocket pair even. Unless I had "a feeling" though, I'm almost always folding this.

Re: 4/180 88 vs flop shove.
You are getting close to 2.5-1 to call and you aren't even close to that against villians range. Plus there is another person to act. Villian's range is probably 66+, AK,QJ,QT,QK,QA at best case. That range gives us 3-1 and that's closer than I thought it would be but it's still a fold.
This should to be more of a math answer than anything else really. |

Re: 4/180 88 vs flop shove.
Most villains are not doing this with air. The worst hand I expect to see from him (that you beat) is 44-77 and that's really stretching it. It's possible that he may do this with AK.
But with two players in the hand, I expect UTG to have something and usually something better than us. With only two likely outs, I fold, expecially with button behind me. Hero has 20 BBs left. Save them for a better spot. |
