Re: NWO TAKEOVER — Game thread

[ QUOTE ] Questions for discussion: Assuming Luckay is a villager, why didn't he get eaten last night after all that "Zurvan is a villager" garbage: 1) If Zurvan is a villager 2) If Zurvan is a wolf [/ QUOTE ] Two simple reasons: Zurvan is a villager and the wolves didn't believe that Luckay was seer because of the way he communicated his 'peek'. Or, they thought Luckay might possibly be seer, but killing him would clear Zurvan, which would be a waste because they expected to get Zurvan lynched today. Or, Zurvan is a wolf. I think option two is the most likely. [/ QUOTE ] |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] To the wolves, they have no idea if he's wolf or seer. [/ QUOTE ] Well, they know he's not a wolf! Freudian slip? Zurvan And yes, you're completely missing my point. Soah is a bad villager (but good seer hunt) kill for the wolves. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] If I get lynched for this, lol village. But, whatever, enjoy yourselves. |

Re: NWO TAKEOVER — Game thread
but really, to expand:
1) I know I'm a villager (or seer). 2) Zurvan is pushing me like a LuckayLuck playing US Gamer Arcades. 3) Ergo, Zurvan is wrong (he's also wrong about me NOT seer hunting on night 1) 4) Ergo, Zurvan villager 5) Zurvan hates being wrong as a wolf, or at least, "very wrong" |

Besides, you should love me for who I am, not ask me to change. I'm really quite lovable, as long as you don't act stupid. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree this is possible and perhaps even likely. [ QUOTE ] Or, they thought Luckay might possibly be seer, but killing him would clear Zurvan, which would be a waste because they expected to get Zurvan lynched today. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree with this. Instead, I think the thoughts go that killing Luckay clears Zurvan a lot. If Luckay is the seer, Zurvan is cleared no matter what they do (eventually Luckay comes out/dies). If he's not, why give the village a free peek on Zurvan? It doesn't have anything to do with Zurvan's "lynchability". [ QUOTE ] Or, Zurvan is a wolf. I think option two is the most likely. [/ QUOTE ] This is talking case 2, and suggests that the wolves wouldn't bother to kill Luckay because there's "no way he could be seer". I think Zurvan as a wolf, with Luckay as a villager, would strongly consider killing Luckay for the "free clearing" that he gets. He'd probably do just what he said about an FPS kill night 1 and eat Luckay - I put a Luckay kill N1 with Zurvan as wolf at around 50-60% chance, at least (depending on other wolves and his availability at night). However, given that wolves would often not kill Luckay if Zurvan is a villager, that reduces the value of the play because it becomes more obviously a reverse-peek kill. So maybe he avoids it. I've thought a lot about it, but I don't know that there's anything conclusive to be learned. It's interesting, though. |

I HATE HATE HATE being wrong.<-period 2. I'm really struggling to remember a game that you played where I was a wolf. I haven't been a wolf since ST2. That's a long time. And I was pretty wrong that game. |
