crocs.

See, I disagree with this one. No I don't wear them and I think they're pretty hideous. But to me, douchebaggery lends itself to ego and what not. Crocs are built for comfort baby, they ain't built for speed. Anyone who wears them is basically saying "I don't give a [censored] if you think they're ugly, my feet are comfortable."

I'm tending to agree with the idea that people are confusing "lame" with "douchebag". Here are a couple examples of what I consider a douchebag:

1. A-hole on a cell phone who doesn't move over when I'm trying to merge on the freeway.

2. Hot shot business man in an office supply or computer store who starts ragging on a clerk because he's too stupid to even know what he really wants.

3. Old guy in Burger King who wants a "plain" Rodeo Cheeseburger. "So you want a plain hamburger?" "No, I want a plain Rodeo Cheeseburger". "So do you want cheese and BBQ sauce on it?" "NO! I want it plain! Are you deaf or something?!"

THESE are douchebags.

This thread is a travesty of stupid generalizations and other even stupider stuff.

People will let you know they suck enough by their actions that there's no need to make goofy assumptions based on other stuff.

You are bringing up people's actions and those aren't really "marks". You must observe them in action to determine their douchiness.

4. Wearing last year's clothing to this year's event. You people who are wearing the last tour shirt of the band you are seeing tonight; you people who are wearing "US OPEN 2005" gear to the 2006 US Open; you fellas that are wearing "WSOP 2006" gear to the 2007 WSOP -- do you know how asinine you look? Do you have any friends?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you supposed to burn them after the year is up? Or are you forced to invest in a duplicate with a new year on it, to satisfy your problem with this?

[/ QUOTE ]

What in the blue hell are you babbling about?

Exactly my point. I'm not sure there are that many stereotypical "marks" to a douche. It's what the person does that determines whether or not he's a douche.

#4 is the best way to tell a douche. You're at a concert for say, Incubus. You see someone wearing an Incubus shirt. Oh [censored], you like incubus? I had no f'n idea.

Are you ignoring what you wrote in your OP, in which you opined about someone's possible douchebag nature solely by their appearance? Or are you unable to troll with consistency?
