My argument has always been that poker should be looked at within the same legal context as bowling. I don't see any difference between me going into a bowling center and plunking down $50 to enter a bowling tournament, and going into a legal and regulated card room and plunking down $50 for a poker tournament.

[/ QUOTE ]

Now believe me, I'm all for legalized poker in every community, but this argument makes me laugh.

I've played their $500 rebuy there before a few times but glad I stopped.

Well I didn't say it was the greatest argument in the world I bowled for a long time and believe me there is an element of luck when entering a tournament and how far you go. Of course the luck factor is greater in poker but I think the similarities are close enough to make the argument.

Wouldn't they stand to make more money off licensing and taxes if they legalized card rooms?

Bell lives in my neighborhood, just around the corner from me. I've never met him, but I was looking for him at our first home owners meeting tonight to see if he wanted to play in my home donkament. I had been telling my neighbor about the bust in Benson at the meeting, but I did not realize Bell was involved.

Benson is a good spot being right at I95 and I40. Had to attract some out of staters.
