She was also funny with the fat guy that recovered from last season (can not recall his name). Has that guys attitude changed as well?

Way to blow through $200k at the Bella Union, Mose!

How can Cy be grumpy? He's got Hearst on the hook for 5%, and he just beat Mose Manuel out of $200k. Oh yeah, and his main competitor, Al, is about to engage in a bloody war, which has to drive some business out of the Gem, and into the BU. The Chez Amie has gone belly-up, one less competitor for the high-end whore.

Everything's coming up roses for this guy. Except for almost dying, that is.

Does anyone else here think that the whole thing with Richardson and the antlers is one of the funniest things you've ever seen on a TV show?

[/ QUOTE ]

My first post in this thread included the phrase, "Richardson cracks me up."

[ QUOTE ]
...well, sitting directly across from me - no lie - is a older guy that looked EXACTLY like Richardson.

[/ QUOTE ]

If I looked exactly like Richardson, I'd think long and hard about a shave and a haircut. Or rhinoplasty. Or anything.

HBO's 'Deadwood' to end with two movies in lieu of fourth season

UPI News Service, 06/05/2006

HBO's Western drama series Deadwood will wrap up with a pair of two-hour television movies instead of a fourth season.

The Hollywood Reporter says HBO reached an agreement with creator/executive David Milch to do the movies instead of another full season.

The Reporter said the issue of whether HBO would order a fourth season was forced in recent weeks by the fact that the cast members' contractual options for a fourth season are due to expire soon.

I love Deadwood and hate the idea of it ending this way.
I see cancelling my HBO subscription soon after the last movie airs!

I just re-watched the latest episode, this time with the captions on.

Good thing I did. The first time, I completely missed the point of the final scene (Al preparing for Hearst's henchmen to come at him, even asking Bullock to stay "within hailing distance").

Ok, finally finished season 2 and watched this. GREAT episode. The tension is higher than it's ever been before, which is awesome. It's great that they somehow find time to flesh out so many of the secondary characters while moving the plot along.

I also think Mrs. Bullock is the one weak link in the show.

I was under the impression that Cy was still laid up from the gutting, which is one thing that made it seem like this season began shortly after the last one, while in other areas 6 weeks later seemed realistic. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is he just depressed or still being nursed to health? Is there any reason a stab wound would keep him incapicated for this long?

No anti-biotics back then. People would die from broken legs, if they got infected. Let alone torn-up intestines.

The "six weeks" line came from Detective Roberts, who said he was caring for the livery horses for the six weeks since Hostetler took off.

I need to go on the Deadwood Diet. I swear the entire cast lost weight since last season....

I was going to reply, "Not this guy!", and post a picture of Merrick.

So I went to HBO.com, to find a pic, and this was the first one I found, from the premiere party:

So you may be on to something.
