Default Mixed game (Riverside, CA) & questions on Limits and Rotation sched

I'm starting up a weekly group to play a 4-game mixed tournament in Riverside, Calif.
A typical mix would be LHE, PLO, Stud/8 and 2-7 TD (L or PL).
(Let me know if you're interested!)

I have 2 questions:

1. If I include Pot-Limit Omaha with a game like Limit Hold'em, shouldn't the PLO blinds be smaller than the LHE blinds? (My reasoning is that I don't want PLO to be the overwhelmingly "decisive" game in the tourney)

And if so, how much smaller should the PLO blinds be? Checking on PokerStars, it seems like PLO pots are about 4 times as big as LHE pots at the same stakes. Does that mean PLO blinds should be 1/4-th of LHE blinds?

2. Rather than having the game change when the blinds change, would it be reasonable to switch games based on orbit, BUT have the blinds/limits go up according to time?

I think I would prefer this for when the table became short/heads-up. If the game changed only when the blinds went up (like every 20 mins), an entire heads-up session might take place during a single game (especially PLO), which kinda takes away from the multidisciplinary-skill I'd like to see in a heads-up match.

Comments would be appreciated. But more players appreciated more!

Don't mix limit and big bet games. Either go with all limit or all PL.

I agree with the poster above who said don't mix limit and big bet games, especially in a tourney. You'll end up with a lot of bust outs when you expected it to go a lot longer. PLO can easily grow to all in regardless of the blinds. Play Omaha hi/low (O8) instead.

Default Mixing limit structures

I know the WSOP is having a "mixed Hold'em" event where they alternate between LHE and NLHE every half hour. Blinds on the Limit phases are twice those of the NL phases.
Think that event is going to be horrible?

The problem is I really like Omaha Hi-only...

I don't think it will be a very good event and it will probably attract specialists. Limit is such a different type of mindset than NL. Here you are progressing slowly up the ladder playing stud hi/lo and then 4/8 limit and all of a sudden you're in for 30-45 minutes (at his home game) of NL and your chip stack effectiveness may be in jeopardy. You lose some pots and then you get killed back in limit. You'd need a very good plan of attack to play a mixed tourney like that.
