right, but i'd argue that he needs an overhaul because he's breaking even, not because of the 45 degree gap. i suppose it's semantics at this point.

what i mean to get across, i guess, is that the 4-5 ptbb winner with a big gap has nothing to worry about.

[/ QUOTE ]
In other words allow winning/running good to mask bad play.

[/ QUOTE ]

im sure tannen assumed no one would think he meant over anything less than a significant sample something like a 4-5ptbb winner within a 95% confidence interval

lol.

not the case at all, because the tag i described in my post above will have a much higher blue line than a tag whose blue line is even with his green one.

consider a tag, in theory, who has middle pair on the river and elects to bet it. once in a while he gets called by better, once in a while he gets called by worse, and very often the villain folds. his bet is neutral ev but decreases his gap.

another tag tends to check in that spot. his showdown (blue) line increases, but his play is no worse than the other guy's.

good play = good win rate. absolutely nothing else whatsoever matters.

edit:

There's a new end of year bonus from FTP. It's tied in with Ironman, check it out on the Ironman page under My Promotions in your cashier.

[/ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

It's based on what you did in 2007.

Bonus determined by:

# months you were iron x $100
# months you were gold x $75
# months you were silv x $50
# months you were bron x $25
------------------------------
add them all up and you get a bonus to work off in Jan

$1200 total max bonus possible

Need to make sure you make at least bronze in DEC to qualify.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ya, I don't get what that number means either on that calendar page. Mine was $3,xxx something. It says in the details page and on the rules page that the max bonus would be if you were ironman for 12 months, $1200.
