I have a question that it is a slight thread hijack, but has anyone here ever used Grinders line, and if so under what circumstances? I used to think this was a fishy line under all circumstances, but I think there are some blind steal situation where it can be applied for various metagame reasons.

most def against a regular or in a HU match for metagame. I'd check a weak top pair / 2nd pair once in a while, then raise or bet a safe turn, otherwise calling down.

also lets discuss how to combat the line. When someone as agressive as Grinder checks behind on this flop and we are fairly sure if we bet he might raise as a pure bluff as often as he might be trapping then is check/calling the turn the best line? Its how I would approach a serious LAG out of position, why not play vs Grinder the same way?

PS: his flop line looks like A2, 22, a hand like 45, or a monster.

I think he has a diamond draw here like 300% of the time.

It could be 22. So like 300% diamonds, 20% deuces. You don't see a flopped strong hand on this board ever ever ever.

I hate defending here and I check fold the turn - who's he trying to fool with the flop check? Were you check calling or check raising the flop? I like to check raise but check call has merit too I suppose.
