I have a question that it is a slight thread hijack, but has anyone here ever used Grinders line, and if so under what circumstances? I used to think this was a fishy line under all circumstances, but I think there are some blind steal situation where it can be applied for various metagame reasons.

[/ QUOTE ] most def against a regular or in a HU match for metagame. I'd check a weak top pair / 2nd pair once in a while, then raise or bet a safe turn, otherwise calling down.

When someone as agressive as Grinder checks behind on this flop and we are fairly sure if we bet he might raise as a pure bluff as often as he might be trapping then is check/calling the turn the best line? Its how I would approach a serious LAG out of position, why not play vs Grinder the same way? PS: his flop line looks like A2, 22, a hand like 45, or a monster.

I hate defending here and I check fold the turn - who's he trying to fool with the flop check? Were you check calling or check raising the flop? I like to check raise but check call has merit too I suppose.
