OK OP,

I am a high-school drop-out myself although I am now 32 years old.

I didn't drop out by choice. My parents were drug addicts. (my dad who i lived with needed my extra cash and my mother was living in the streets somewhere in Brooklyn).

I was working full-time since 16 yrs old.

I worked hard and landed a job on the COMEX exchange, it was low pay but, it paid the rent.

I moved out on my own at 17 years old. I got hired by an independent trading company. I stayed there for seven years and then was hired by a bigger company that I work at now.

Bottom line is.. if you do not HAVE TO drop-out then DONT.

School is a privledge, I have two children of my own now and I do not want them to have to struggle on their own like I did.

I will strive to make sure my children get their proper education and can make educated decisions.

OP, if this is a true post and not leveling.. you are very foolish and I hope you go busto early so that you don't get too dis-illusioned.

EDIT: I forgot that this is BBV4L and my correct response is... I PUT ON MY ROBE AND WIZARD HAT.

OP: Please stop watching Rounders

Actually, I would say this is probably your best shot to make anything of yourself. You don't seem to have the ability to do anything else.

I knew everything too, when I was 18.

Sincerely,

The guy who is in his 5th year of college and still doesn't have a degree.

Take the $3k and buy lotto tickets.. you got a better shot at making it big this way.
Stay at home and live with parents.. get a job in construction or some other physical job. make $22/h.
I would bet a dollar you are WAY better with your hands
than you are with doing math in your head.

LOL, what does math have to do with playing poker. Poker is all about reading your opponents.
