Default BJ\'s Restaurant & Brewhouse

Just curious, how many of you are familiar with this place? If so, do you like it?

I just started going recently and quite a few people seem to know about this joint, but I had never heard of it.

I consistently have the worst dining experiences at BJs, including the time I waited 15 minutes for the waitress to bring my check while she chatted with some guys at their booth, and that other time when a waitress told us "can you hurry up" when a member of our party was still deciding on what to order.

Pizookies are the only worthwhile item here.

Been there a lot. There are a ton near where I used to live.

The beers are aight.
The pizzas are really good.
The pizookie is awesome.

Overall, it's a pretty good place that's not too outrageously priced.

I hate this place. Once got ribs that could not be cut. Then pizza that blew, though sometimes its fine and def what I'd eat if I had to go. Everything pretty much sucks and worst of all my friends love it. Only worse thing, same market, is California Pizza Kitchen.

Beer is meh, but I live in Oregon and can choose from about 500 different brew pubs in Portland alone.

I think they get thier food from Denny's. It's definitely not worth the price.

They might have changed, I haven't been there in about 4 years.

Weird. I drove by a BJ's this morning. Where do you go to BJ's?

I went to the one in Cupertino, once, a long time ago. It didn't strike me as real good or real bad. I remember thinking the beer was above average. I think 21A is better, but also more expensive.

It seemed like the kind of place where real people, who like real beer and loved microbrews before they went mainstream and got ruined by yuppie scumbags, would make fun of the plastic unpeople who go to BJ's and think they are real people.

Boris,

I started playing evening tennis in South SF and there's a BJ's literally right down the street in San Bruno where we can get dinner at 10 or 10:30 after playing. After 10 they have a sweet special where individual pizzas are half price (so about $5) and appetizers and beers are discounted. I think most of the beers suck pretty bad, but I like the pizza a lot. The apps are so-so for the most part, though I love the avocado egg roll. I tasted the ribs and they were so-so, but not bad for a joint like that. Haven't tried anything else because we always go when the pizzas are half-price, so it feels wrong to not order them, especially since they are delicious.
