New Video Card Help
Hello,
Ihaven't purchased any computer hardware in a while, but I am looking to put a graphics card into a new PC I was given. I occasionally play games (Warcraft 3, and I'll probably get Starcraft 2 whenever it comes out), and do basic video editing. I would like a PCIe card that will last a while. Any thoughts? |

Re: New Video Card Help
The bigger the number of MB in the cards name the longer it will last and the more expensive it will cost. If you are going to be gaming I'd suggest getting at least a 256mb card.

[/ QUOTE ] I probably should have been a little more specific. I am pretty tech-savvy, I just haven't bought new hardware in a while. I know what the basic specs mean, and I am looking more for specific suggestions on cards that would suit my needs. Thanks. |

Re: New Video Card Help
It's the rule of thumb I used when upgrading my windows boxes to multi monitor. The thing that was a gotcha for me was getting a video card that needed more PSU than I had in the computer so I ended having to replace that as well.
