Default take this deal?

6 handed live 30 cp, fish (dennis) raises utg, his range is wide to say the least, good player (rocky) 3-bets utg+1, his range here is pretty wide also assume stuff like ATo+ KJ+ 66+. I 4 bet two nines in LP, dennis calls, rocky says "if you let me take this back I'll fold" i.e. if I give him $90 later. Should I accept?

Maybe I'm just a nit, but I don't think you should even be contemplating his offer since another player is in the hand.

And Rocky should just STFU and play poker.

I definitely agree. HU this kind of stuff is totally fine, but my response here regardless of my holding would be, "There's another player in the pot."

That said, I think it's a very good deal for you.

He shouldn't say that with another player in the hand still.

Ethicly, of course not. Mathematicly, of course, since his hand is prolly even money, not a 11-1 dog.

"HU this kind of stuff is totally fine"

It's obviously worse with another player still in the hand, but it's not OK HU either. It allows players to enter pots with impunity since they have the option of making a deal if the subsequent action is not to their liking.

In this case, you have no jurisdiction to allow the guy to take out his bets. It's cheating.

Not okay. Had your 3-ball made the guy in between fold, it is still not okay as it really smacks of collusion.

You're playing poker, not "Let's Make A Deal"

Vehn, does the Fish get the same deal? If he said, "now that Rocks gets his money back, I would like mine back, too", what would you have done? Of course, if he is a fish this question would never come up...what am I thinking?

Btw, did you take the offer?

I'd assume I would have to pay the $90 even if I lost the hand. If the fish said that too I'd probably say no as I clearly have him totally crushed. I insta took the offer without really thinking about it and it saved me the pot obv. Rocky had ATo and would have flopped a flush draw/rivered an ace. Fish had 88.
