But seriously, I think you have to bench Ortiz, and as hot as Youk has been during the post-season, you probably lose very little, bat-wise. Do you really want Big Papi trying to field a Taveras drag bunt down the first base line? Either way, you gain a hell of a pinch hitter. Even if Youk wasn't so hot, I don't think it's a hard call to make. But with Youk as hot as he is, it's almost a no-brainer.

just having power pitchers isn't the only thing that matters. yeah, they tend to dominate, but not if they walk too many guys. jimenez' K:BB is pretty pedestrian IIRC. i'm not saying he can't be effective, but i seriously doubt it.
