It works OK with my Radeon X1300, but on the Radeon M300 it doesn't work at all.

[/ QUOTE ] A friend of mine runs a 24" Dell 1920x1200 through VGA and it looks great, but I had to use DVI on my new 24" to get it to adjust properly for me. Those lines going up the screen reminded me of my brother's monitor. He has a 1440x900 19" Samsung widescreen, which looks great through a good video card, but thru his laptop's stock VGA output he has the same problem that you're describing.
