The better players understand rake. The better players understand rakeback. The better players want to go to a site with better rakeback programs.

No problem. Go. Go play with all the other better players where you get rakeback. Hell, I wish everyone that understood rakeback would leave Stars.

yes we do.

The disparity between full-ring and 6-max is also relevant on the limit tables.

I am playing quite a bit of limit on Stars these days. But I would actually be playing even more than I do already if they would fix this discrepency in which 6-max players pay significantly more rake for the FPP's they earn.

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Stars too, but I wish they would simply go so far as to award an additional .5 VPP at $2 rake and the other .5 VPP at $3 rake, as opposed to the current nothing extra at $2 rake and 1 whole VPP at $3 rake.

Lots of the time playing 6 max there are less than 6 people at the table, so when you pay more than $1 rake, you aren't getting anything in return (I am in no way suggesting they should still take $3 rake with less than 6 players, just that the current reward scheme benefits 10 max much more than 6 max).

I agree with this. Actually I hope that pokerstars takes note because I've been very affected by this post as I am also a 6 max player and didn't know we were getting so ripped off vs. other sites such as FTP and UB. I also linked this thread to another 6 max stars player who also wasn't aware and he completely agrees to. I hope stars takes note.

The only reason it looks different is because you're basing it on MGR. That's why it looks like Full Tilt players get hosed playing six max with bonus and rakeback.

You play a $50 pot at full ring and one at six max, the rake is going to be the same but the MGR of the players is not. It's much more reasonable to look at it as a percentage of the rake taken off the table rather than rake taken divided by players.

If you look at it that way the same pots are going to get the same rake and the same points. The people who get screwed are the ones who play the most pots that get raked but don't get a point, those in the 100-200 NL games.

I'm curious to know what kind of rakeback the 3-6 and 5-10nl (6 max) is like for stars. This is what I primarily play. I feel the games are softer and people are playing at fulltilt and UB since the rakeback is better. I used to play at Party and since the ban I've played at Stars and it seems easier. I guess its kind of a balance. Numbers would be appreciated.
