Default Redesign?

I'm pretty sure this suggestion was posted before, but I'm really lazy to search. Plus, there may be new developments on the issue.

This website seems pretty resourceful, and big too. However, the design is presentation of the content is pretty frustrating to the eye, and the mind.

So my question (or suggestion) is - How about a redesign?

Agreed. This place could really use some wood paneling.

We are open to specific suggestions. And we are willing to pay if someone has an in depth proposal that we like.

So pm me with ideas, requests, and/or proposals.

we are planning on making changes for the better one way or another and I am expecting one proposal already.

I don't have an in depth proposal, but I do have a few suggestions, based on my observation and experience on this website (recently).

1. A main navigation is needed, instead of the long, confusing left navigation. For example, a horizontal navigation which presents the links for Home, Forum, Books, The 2+2 Magazine, Bonus Offers and Promotions.

1. You don't need to present all the content on one page (i.e. the home page). You can make different pages for different content. For example, let's say you have created the main horizontal navigation as described above, most of the content on the home page will be divided into the different new pages. This way, there is a feel of being organised.

3. The current design is boring. However, the content may be golden. You just need a neat new design. Most design firms are able to do this. Although you may not want a design with 'too much graphics'.

In conclusion, all this site needs is a new design, and a better system of organisation and presentation of content. The upgrade to vBulletin is a wise choice.
